Why do we need a Community Hub?
To improve the quality of life for the local community through support and empowerment. We will work with the community to ensure that they are involved in influencing the services provided to meet their changing needs. Members of our community are excluded from social, an educational opportunities because of low income, cultural oppression, physical obstacles or prejudicial attitudes. We are committed to empowerment.

Why do we need a Community Hub?

Liverpool has lost £441m in funding from central government since 2010/11, which equates to £816 less for every man, woman and child. Poverty, unemployment and poor housing have all shown risk factors associated with developing and experiencing mental health problems. Our House is based on the edge of the County Ward, Anfield, Everton, Kirkdale and Warbreck wards in Liverpool. Based on a Liverpool Echo article in September 2019, ranking the top 20 deprived areas in the UK The rankings take into account the state of issues like housing, education, environmental and crime to determine how deprived an area is. Number 10 on the list was around Breck Road Anfield. Number 13 on the list is Anfield Road and number 18 is Winslow Street to Arnot Street. All these addresses mentioned above are within a 10 minute walking distance of Our House –Walton Community Hub.

How will it be paid for?
Donations, Grants and other income streams.

How much will it cost to hire the facilities?
The current room hire cost is relative low and reflect the facilities. Depending on the requirements will reflect the cost. Please contact us for details.

Is there Wi-Fi?
Of course! Currently it is free, but if it’s abused, we’ll have to reconsider.
